I woke up with the scripture ringing in my ear… “the truth will set you free.”
My spirit man kept repeating this statement to me in my subconscious “I have set you free.”
Free?!? Free from what? The bondage? The yoke? The compromise?
His word says,
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
John 16:13
The Spirit of God DOES come to set us free – in truth and light.
In the light of Him, we are not meant to compromise.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness?
2 Corinthians 6:14
There is NO unity of peace between the light and the dark.
Of all the abuses I’ve submitted to – physically, verbal, emotional, financial…I believe that scriptural abuse has been the one with the most eternal impact.
Why more eternal impact for scriptural abuse over the other types of abuse?
It has to do with those things which are temporal versus external.
Scripture abuse is the one type of abuse with which a lasting stumbling block for our salvation can yield….
Bruises heal. Money can be remade. But following wrong truth will set a person on a path of destruction.
