I do not want to be wise in my own eyes now that I have the beginning of wisdom. Understanding the power of the Creator and the works of Christ, I fear Him.
I fear Him but yet there is no fear in love. Love casts out fear. So if fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and there is no fear in love and God is love….what does that mean?? It means that as we begin to understand who God is and what he is capable of doing that we need, in fear, realize that we are nothing and He is capable of doing whatever He wants to us. But in coming in a relationship with Him, we realize that He is love, and fear is cast out of perfect love MEANING in Him fear is lost, because the fear is the realization that we were once condemned sentenced to eternal life burning in hell, an eternally life separted from his forever presence. But in coming to him, hidden in Christ, fear is cast away, because we are securely resting in His comfort and grace.
Fear is knowledge but knowledge breeds power, therefore the only one to fear is the one of power to
“…but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell” (Matthew 10:28). Fear denying the power and soverneighy of the Lord before men, who in the day of Judgement will deny you before His Father who is in Heaven (Matthew 10:33).
Wisdom is more than head knowledge, it’s when understanding penetrates our hearts. Everything is a heart matter. We must be still and wait in Him.
